About RGAOI
RGAOI aims:
- To expand the use of renewable energy technologies especially in renewable gas sector in India such
as wind energy, solar energy, hydro energy, tidal energy, bio mass energy etc. - To affect public policy in favor of renewable energy.
- To educate and inform residents of India/abroad of the benefits and uses of renewable energy.
- To carry out projects that forward the wider use of environmentally sound alternative sources of
energy, in order to help preserve and promote the health, quality, and integrity of the natural and
human environments; and - To educate concerned members of the general public in the knowledge and skills to enable them to
contribute to these projects and others, in order to present them with an accessible channel for
affecting change as well as practical know-how to use in other endeavors. - To facilitate right partnerships for the sector
- To facilitate investments in the renewable energy sector
- To facilitate government and private sector partnerships
Renewable gases will play a key role in decarbonizing the Nations’ renewable gas distribution system and the industry’s environmental stewardship.
RGAOI advocates for recognition of renewable gases as sustainable, on demand and flexible energy sources that provide multiple socio-economic and environmental benefits. Supported by its members, RGAOI is committed to work with governments, institutions, industry, agricultural partners, NGOs and academia to develop policies which can enable the large-scale deployment of renewable gases and organic manure throughout the nation, supported by transparent, well established sustainability certification bodies to ensure sustainability remains at the core of the industry.
RGAOI will advocate and educate for sustainable development, deployment and utilization of renewable gas so that present and future generations will have access to domestic, renewable, clean fuel and energy. RGAOI will be platform dedicated to the sustainable advancement of renewable gas as a clean, green, alternative and domestic energy resource – and as a key component and partial solution to addressing global climate change.
This will serve as an advocacy voice for the protection, preservation and promotion of renewable gas and thus we protect and expand existing markets, and create additional and diverse market demand for renewable gas.
We will encourage renewable gas produced from all feedstock, using competing and sustainable technologies for all sustainable end-use applications.
RGAOI will aim to be internally involved each related sector of the renewable gas value chain: waste collection, waste management & recycling companies, renewable energy/gas developers, engineers, banks, financiers, investors, gas/power marketers, gas/power transporters, manufacturers, technology & service providers, environmental advocates, research organizations, organized labor, law firms, consultants, non-profits, airports, municipalities, universities, utilities and other.
